These proposed terms cover Global Fishing Journal's articles, regional guides, conservation reporting and planning tools. They remain draft terms under review although the site is publicly available to readers. The operator, contact details, governing law and any required regional provisions must be settled before adoption. No commercial service is being sold through this version of the site.
Using fishing information
The journal provides general educational and trip-planning information. Articles can become outdated. Before fishing, check the responsible authority for current licensing, seasons, species limits, protected areas, access and export rules. A regional notice may apply to only one jurisdiction or activity; read its scope and effective date.
Weather and tide information is supplied for planning. Predictions are not observations, water-depth measurements or navigation instructions. Check official warnings and local conditions, use suitable equipment and make your own decisions about whether to travel or go on the water. No forecast or article guarantees safety or a catch.
Content and acceptable use
You may read and share links to the journal. Copyright and other rights, where they exist, remain with their respective holders. Source links do not transfer ownership of source material to the journal.
Individual images may be public domain, available under a Creative Commons license, or supplied with permission limited to this website. Check the image credit, source and exact license before reusing it. These draft terms do not restrict rights granted by an image's open license, public-domain status or applicable law. Creative Commons material remains subject to its attribution and other license conditions; ShareAlike conditions apply where the relevant license requires them. A license for one image does not license the whole journal.
Owner collection photographs are not offered under an open license merely because they appear here. Permission for this website does not authorize another person's reuse or imply that people pictured endorse a product or business. Further reuse of other protected material requires permission or another lawful basis.
Do not attempt unauthorized access to editorial tools, interfere with site operation or misrepresent journal content as your own. The current version does not accept public submissions or comments.
