Rule updates for this region

Upcoming changeArgentina — Neuquén provincial fishing season; individual waters and national park annexes have separate conditions

Neuquén: 2026–27 season begins on 1 November; check each water separately

Brown and rainbow trout and other regulated freshwater fish · Effective 2026-11-01 · Checked 2026-10-21

Neuquén announced on 16 October 2026 that its 2026–27 season begins on 1 November. The announcement describes a year-long provincial season with some rivers and lagoons ending on 1 May 2027; this does not make every water open all year. Obtain the applicable current waterbody rules and permits before fishing, including any preferential-area or trolling supplement. National park waters require their applicable annex. This is an advance reminder of an announced opening, not confirmation that every river or section is open.

These notices cover the changes listed, not every rule for the region. Check the linked authority before fishing.
